Win the innovation game: 2nd Eco Innovation Award 2024

The innovation challenge: this is the topic of the Eco Innovation award second edition, which took place at the Chamber of Commerce in Pisa.

   BCN Concerie won the award for SMEs, thanks to its investments and strategic approach for green innovation.

   Representatives of the academic excellence, like Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Scuola Superiore Normale and IMT Alti Studi in Lucca, joined a panel discuss with Valter Tamburini, Chamber of Commerce president, addressed the ecological transition and innovation in Tuscan companies, together with the institutional figures of Alessandra Nardini, regional committee, and the Region production activities Director Albino Caporale. 

  "Rewarding innovation while stimulating emulator processes is crucial to building an economic system capable of facing global challenges and ensuring sustainable growth" says Tamburini. 

  The union between research institutes, where experimentation is one of the fundamental missions, and companies, which touch with hand the current reality, allow the progress of innovation with greater speed and certainty. 

  "Talent is a small part of our success, because we make a ‘product’ but today it isn’t enough: we must give added value, as an Italian champion says Talent for me does not exist, you have to earn it," says Roberto Lupi, president of BCN Concerie, "for becoming a winning company, you must have all the characteristics of skills and competencies to tackle complex issues such as sustainability in a real and profitable way."

   The recognition given by this award, given by a commission of great academic importance, confirms that BCN is on the right road: a trip started from afar, with the first research projects and certification paths.
