How it is create the high-quality accessory? How do brands interact with the supply chain to obtain high-quality objects?
The meeting organized by the University of Venice IUAV, within the research project PRIN PNRR Rhita, showed how different segments of the luxury leather goods supply chain interact: brands want to join needs aesthetic as to technical needs and increasingly central respect for the environment and workers.
BCN Concerie was pleased to make its contribution as a tanner of luxury calf and calf leather, as it is particularly sensitive to these issues.
"The search for quality is closely linked to research in the field of environmental protection, as a principle" says the president Roberto Lupi.
The discussion between BCN Concerie, which produces calf and calf leather, a luxury leather goods company and a high-end metal accessories company was full of suggestions.
The timely response to requests regarding performance, sustainability and traceability is essential: all areas developed in recent years along with the increase in consumer sensitivity to environmental and ethical issues. Every manufacturing company is increasingly driven to new challenges, usually regarding the performance of the component or the final object, which push to technological innovation and increase the flexibility of technicians thinking.
The development of the prototype is essential in each of the participating companies, as they could test real evidence, creating a concert of minds providing considerations to brand development.
The sensitivity of each subject involved must be direct, because the machine cannot convey the emotions unlike a material and a process can confer.
The goal of the creative development of luxury brands is to combine performance and the highest quality of to the communication of ideas, thoughts and lifestyles.
All this is related to the target audience, both for cultural considerations and for practical assessments related to geolocation.
An example? The interaction between leather and metal in the bag at very humid climatic conditions with sudden seasonal temperature changes.
University training in the Rhita project
BCN Concerie firmly believes in direct confrontation with students, in fact the director Iari Sani actively participates in academic events and in the student support. On this occasion, a round table was formed, able to highlight the added value to the final product, thanks to the industriousness of the entire supply chain to realize the designer ideas, which are the result of intuitions and long design reflections.
Allowing the exchange of ideas, knowledge and different points of view is the goal of Rhita.
The materials brought have aroused great interest in the students, because nothing manages to arouse the emotion, which the specialized staff of the Made in Italy chain well knows, as the physical contact with the components of the projects for their final collections, which could take material form even in their imagination.
